Photo Update Feb 2017 - Part 2

We went to 80's prom at The Fonda in Hollywood. It was fun. I went as Adam Ant, because he's amazing and it's a full costume I already have ready to go.

I'm really working on make-up and costume looks when I have free time...I think I got a better response from the white flowers than the dark mask, but I really like the juxtaposition when they are presented together.
I keep trying to down size my apartment and go through things and get rid of them. Went trough old VHS tapes, found a good one with my sister on it from 1999!!
I made a greasy grilled cheese and deep fried my own french fries for Fat Tuesday with the aim of eating better for lent. AHAHA...right...I did realize I hate deep frying food, and should leave it to professionals.

Things that have piqued my interest since the last time I shared:

DC and Ken Block present Gymkhana FOUR: The Hollywood Megamercial. A MUST watch. This guy drifts his way through Universal Studios!

I like to dress up the cat and laugh at her.

17 Halloween Costumes that are Actually Clever
I have always wanted to do a grayscale costume. "The Grayscale Couple" in this post is really good.

Happy Birthday Robert Plant!

Ah, my love Robert Plant's 65th birthday is today.
  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERT!

I started following "Robert Plant's Plantations" earlier this year on facebook and am so glad I did. I am not sure how they acquired them, but they have many very rare personal photos of Robert I have never seen before that I am going to share with you. I tried to include as many new-to-me photos as possible, credit as always is in the link in parentheses under the picture. Enjoy!

Baby Robert sits between his parents!

"Robert Plant - age 2 years old - winning First Prize at a local baby/toddler show in Tipton Staffordshire with his mother. (note the 1st prize card in his hand)."

I (Sydney) hate that they added this tacky MS paint border to it, but it's still wonderful to see him as a baby. :)

"Robert & his little sister - 1959"

"Robert & his sister - 1962."

 More tacky borders...

Coffee

I know you need caffeine sometimes but don’t even fucking think about reaching for a RedBull or 5-Hour Energy. I will slap that shit out of your hand so quick you won’t know whatthefuck happened. Energy drinks are toxic and fucking expensive. Money doesn’t grow on trees; coffee does. Don’t waste your time in a fucking line and spend your hard earned cash on something you can make while you’re sleeping. Cold brewed coffee is also way less acidic, making this easier on your stomach. SO GRAB A CUP OF THIS SIMPLE SHIT AND SEIZE THE GODDAMN DAY.

COLD BREWED COFFEE

¾ cup ground coffee (whatever you got is fine)
3 ½ cups cold water

Put the coffee grounds in the bottom of a large container. If you like coffee with some fucking bite, add another ¼ cup of grounds. Slowly pour the water over the grounds and stir. Make sure all the grounds get wet because sometimes there are weird dry pockets and then you’re just wasting fucking coffee. Let this sit in the fridge (or on your counter if its not too fucking hot in your place) overnight or for at least 10 hours. In the morning, strain that shit using a mesh strainer. You know, the ones that look like a screen door. If you have the time, strain one more time through a paper coffee filter to get out the last of the grounds (or don't and just deal with a couple rogue grounds in your drink). Serve over ice and with some almond milk if that's your thing.

Makes about 3 ½ cups of coffee (triple this recipe and keep the extra in the fridge all week)

Whirled

Amazing day! My Jillian is in town for a wedding. We had so much fun! Did errands, but also broke ice with my step-daughter and drank and laughed with Lauren. Good times.

I have been so busy, Life has left me exhausted with it's many activities. But I have been having so much fun. I've also had too many cocktails, so now I sound like an idiot.

I haven't abandoned you. Sorry for lack of posts. I will remedy that forth with.

Moving - Day 2 - The Last Scramble

We're moving! Not far, not even out of this town (we love this town), just 2 doors down in our building. YAY! More room! Step-Daughter has decided to stay and so she needed a room. It was such a lucky break to find her one right here in the building. We got a good portion of stuff out yesterday. We have to finish today. I am most worried about our bed, cause it's heavy. But, there is actually lots of work to be done still...
I am about to lose the internet while my man moves the computers next door, then we have to have the bill swapped. So I will be gone for the  next week probably sorting all that stuff out.
Have a wonderful start of July and I'll catch you up on all the fun we had next week.
