The Distillers - Seneca Falls
Just because it came to mind and I hadn't heard it in a long time....
Oh its set in 1848 in the crush of New York state
and the thing about destiny is it never ever makes mistakes
Susan B. Anthony
Forever haunting me
Owned raped sold thrown
A woman was never her own
They cried freedom rise up for me
I want i want i want freedom
Oh its set in 1848 in the crush of New York state
and the thing about destiny is it never ever sets you free
Elizabeth Cady
Forever reminding me
I dont steal the air i breathe
Freedom rise up for me

I really like this set of shelves...I need some big shelves in my kitchen. This was made by an interior designer, she gives tips, but not real instructions...I wonder if I'm up for this?

The fleeting embers of a bouquet of roses was brilliantly constructed and photographed by the creative team at Ars Thanea in Warsaw, Poland. The Ash
as they have titled it, is arresting, poetic and kinda makes you think,
“Why didn't someone do this sooner for a number of purposes?”
"We all dream sometimes, about something we want to have or do. Luckily, if we have enough patience, a real willingness and at least a pinch of determination we are able to make our dream come true. Our experience has also thought us to have the best and the right people beside you, because they are the main ingredient of every success. So this time we wanted to share with you guys a result of an idea and a great cooperation to make it real. “The Ash” - came to our minds as a simple thought - glowing roses - maybe as a some kind of symbol or maybe as a simple whim."

Being an adult is tedious, complicated and exhausting. Most of the benefits are sex & drugs & rock and roll, and I did all that in my parents home in my teen years...
Now, after sleeping too late and spending the first half of the afternoon arguing and working out relationship hiccups I get to spend the second half doing laundry and selling my late fathers crap on eBay. Joy.
Hoping to clean the crap out of this place because sadly, one of the rewards I have come to really enjoy about all the stupid adult crap is a clean apartment.

July Horoscope
Your personal closet
A Full Moon in your sign on July 1 might leave you feeling extra
emotional. You might realize that it's time to shed your dead skin, much
like a snake. There may be a part of your life that is no longer
workable, whether it's a relationship, goal or something about your
personal identity. Now is the time to clean out your personal closet so
that you can make room for your best self to emerge.
Relationships come into focus on July 15 and it's possible that you'll be ready to take on a new business partner. If you are considering this be aware that on this day you might have a slight power struggle relating to how this alliance will work. You'll be tempted to call it off before it even begins but hang in there -- the angry energy will pass. Then, you'll have two weeks to plant seeds around this relationship that are sure to develop in a positive way. If you're married it's also possible that you and your mate will experience a new beginning in your relationship -- even if you need to fight for it.
Venus will retrograde on July 25 until September 6. For most of this cycle, beginning July 31, you'll need to carefully review financial matters connected to investments, taxes, and any debt you have. This will be a good time to get things in better order so that you feel empowered about your financial future.

Hmmmm.....this is very interesting to me. Some of this really strikes a cord.

Is it bad that I don't want to go out to the laundry room and do laundry because I ran into the girl next door downstairs and her father when I was coming home just now and it gave me anxiety so I don't want to run into her again?

Carlo Mollino’s private Polaroids - NSFW (NOT SAFE FOR WORK)
Carlo Mollino (1905-1973) was an architect, designer, photographer
and writer, not to mention a race-car driver and a pilot. His buildings
include the Royal Theatre in Turin, and his furniture, like his
photography, is ever more valuable. In 2005, a Mollino table sold for
$3.8 million, setting a world record for twentieth-century decorative
art.
Upon his death, it was discovered that he had a vast, stunning body of work in Polaroids spanning 1962-1973.
DesignBoom tells us that these were, “the private photographic work he kept which included over 1,000 polaroids portraying beauties of Turin’s nightlife in the nude in mise-en-scène settings. These photographs were part of the preparation of his “house for the warrior’s rest,” known as Casa Mollino, a villa in Turin, situated along the River Po.”
Mollino, said to be one of Italy’s most influential mid-20th century designers, wanted to model his death on those of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs, whose souls were taken by boat to a sumptuous city, where they enjoyed opulent afterlives. Casa Mollino was a house he created for his afterlife, “inspired by the project of the construction of the Egyptian pyramid which is the house for the perpetuity of the pharaohs.”
